Glen Miller
Director and Numismatist
Following many years of collecting coins, Glen decided to transition from collector to numismatic dealer and initially started trading through GMCoins in 2000.
Throughout this time Glen has built up a vast experience of numismatic dealing and auctioneer consulting. With their personal service, extensive knowledge of numismatics and, of course, reputations, Glen felt that by joining together with Martin Roberts in this venture was an exciting opportunity to be had.
Glen is always found at the UK Coin fairs and can often be heard on radio discussing coin topics. Whilst the vast majority of his time is spent working with coins, Glen has a love for antiques and collectables and loves spending time at antique shops/fairs.
Outside of business, Glen spends as much time as possible with his family and dogs.
Martin Roberts
Director and Numismatist
Martin started collecting coins at the age of 7. Within a year or two, saved up pocket money was used to buy several hammered coins including an Edward IV groat which he purchased in London from B.A. Seaby in 1982.
Martin obtained a degree in electrical and electronic engineering at the University of Birmingham and began his first career in engineering designing silicon chips. During his 15 years as an engineer, he returned to collecting several times before deciding he would like to dedicate more time to his hobby.
In 2010 he started AMR Coins and within six months gave up engineering to concentrate on the coin trade full time. In addition to running AMR Coins, Martin has also had experience leading the coin department for a provincial auctioneer, appeared on television as a coin specialist and is on the council of the British Numismatic Trade Association.
Since 2010, Martin has built up an excellent reputation for honesty and fair grading, and has gained an in-depth knowledge of numismatics and the numismatic market. He is a regular attendee at most of the UK coin fairs but on free weekends, likes to spend time with his family and in the garage with his classic cars.
Helen Fawcett
General Manager
After completing her degree at Liverpool University, Helen worked in the NHS for 16 years as a Radiographer before leaving in 2016 to join AMR Coins as Martin’s PA. It is here where she has learnt the ins and outs of coin dealing and her interest in numismatics has flourished. With a keen interest in British coins, especially Celtic and Anglo-Saxon, she has recently started her own collection.
Helen is excited to be onboard as General Manager of Martin and Glen’s new venture, Hosker Haynes Auctioneers. She can be contacted for any general auction information, consignment enquiries, catalogue requests or invoice information.
When she is not at work, Helen can usually be found spending time with her three children or walking/running with her dog.
